Challenge
A fast-growing South African fintech needed to build a data engineering function from scratch. The business had reached a scale where ad hoc analytics were no longer sufficient, and the founding team lacked the time and network to run a rigorous technical hiring process. They needed a recruiter who could assess candidates at a technical level, not just match job titles.
Approach
We took a detailed technical brief from the CTO, mapped the specific stack requirements, and conducted a targeted search across our data engineering network.
